How to search Train by station?

Choose Station at the top right of the screen and then type station code or Station Name in From and To box provided and Now Choose Date of your Journey from the date Calendar (Click on Date and chose the date) and then Choose quota for Seat Availability from quota drop menu box and then click on Search Train at the centre of the screen.

You will get all trains running between these two stations at the upper window.

How to get Return Journey for the same searched stations?

For Return Journey for the same route by clicking on show Return Trains instead of clicking on show trains.

How to search Train by Train Name or Train Number?

Choose Train at the top right of the screen and then type train Name or train Number in box provided and now chose Date of Your Journey from the date calendar (Click on Date and choose the date) and then choose quota for seat availability from quota drop menu box and then click show train detail.

How to search route by Map?

Click on Map Marking ikon before the From and To box in Green and Red color. First click on Green color Ikon to choose your From station in Map and then click on Red Color to choose your To Station in Map. Now Click on Show Trains. You will get all Trains running between those two stations.

How to know all Trains passing through a particular station?

Choose station at the top right and then type the station name or station code of desire station and then click on station Code shown just outside the type box and you will get all Arrival and departure of trains from that particular station.

How to Know All Arrivals & Departures of all Trains from a Particular station?

Choose station at the top right and then type the station name or station code of desire station and then click on station Code shown just outside the type box and you will get all Arrival and departure of trains from that particular station.

How to know General Fare of All Class of a Train?

Choose General from the quota drop menu box at number 4 and from the list of trains click on train number or Name and you will get General fare of all class of the Chosen train

How to Know Tatkal Fare of All class of a Train?

Choose Tatkal from the quota drop menu box at number 4 and from the list of train click on train number or train name and you will get Tatkal Fare of all class of the chosen train.

How to Know Child, Senior Male, Senior Female Fare?

From the list of trains roll mouse over AV of the class column and you will get Child, Senior Male, and Senior Female Fare in a top up in right side of the screen for searched route and that particular train.

How to get full train schedule of a particular train?

Type the train number and click on get train detail and you will get full train schedule of that particular train number.

How to get train schedule of searched route?

Click on train number from the list of trains and you will get searched route highlighted by a yellow line in below window.

How to know which Classes are available in a particular train?

From the list of train, each train will have header of all Class and the cell which show AV means this train have that class.

How to check seat Availability?

Chose your date of Journey and Type of quota from step 3 and 4 and then Click on AV and you will have Seat Availability data shown in below part of screen.

Please note the quota which you have chosen at the top quota drop menu box that quota availability will be shown. Likewise you can change quota from drop menu box for all type of quota seat availability.

How to know running days of a Particular train?

From the list of train on day header of each train it will shown as Y. If Y is shown for the day then this train runs on that particular day.

How to know about Pantry attached in a train or not?

If pantry attached to a train then in P column next to train name it will show P. If a train shows P then it has pantry attached to this train.

How to know the Running date of a Train?

Choose the train from the train list and then click on Calendar and it will show the dates on which the train running.

How to view non daily trains running date?

From the list of train choose the train which show R next to travel time header and roll your mouse over R and you will get the running date of that particular train in calendar.

How to know running days of a Special Train?

From the list of train click on the train number whose number start with digit 0 and then click on Calendar it will show running days of that train and also you can view by roll your mouse over i icon next to train name.

How to calculate total fare cost of my family which consists of one Child, One Adult, One senior Female and one senior Male?

Choose the train from the train list and you will get fare calculator drop menu box next to all Class fare. Choose 1 adult, 1 Child, 1 senior Male, 1 Senior male and total will be shown at the fare box of all class.

How to know Current Running status of a train?

Type the train number and click on get train detail and now choose the date from calendar. For example take date 15^th July for train number 12621.

To know running status of train which depart from 15^th July click on Dep time and you will get the running status of the train in below window

To know running status of train which arrives at NDLS (New Delhi) on 15^th July click on Arrival time and you will get the running status of the train which arrives at New Delhi on 15^th July.

How to see the Full train route in Map?

From the list of the train choose your train by clicking on Name or Number of the train and then click on Travel time of that train to view full route and schedule of the train in the Map.

How to search my PNR Current states?

In the right side of the screen click on PNR search Tab and type 10 digit PNR number and click on get PNR status and you will get the Current running status of your PNR.

How to get Additional information of a particular train like extra coach, Coach Composition, Distance Restriction of a Particular train?

From the list of the train in Train Name you will have i icon next to Train name. Roll your mouse over that i and all additional information will be shown in right side of the screen if that train has any extra information.

How to know distance and Average speed of searched train?

From the list of trains roll mouse over travel time and you can view distance and Average speed of that particular train at the top centre of the screen.

How to know originate and destination station of a particular train in searched route?

From the list of train roll mouse over train name and it will show you Origin and Destination station with type of train of that particular train at the top centre of the screen.

Can I take a print out of train schedule?

Yes you can click on Print link provided at train schedule to get a print out of train schedule.

Can I take a print out of searched train list?

Yes Click on Print link provided at the bottom of the train list to take print out of the searched train route.

Can I do the sorting in the train list as I wish?

Yes you can click on the header of each column in the train list to sort as you wish.

Can I send link of searched route to my friend by mail?

Yes you can copy the link provided at the bottom of train list and paste in your mail.

Can I send link of Train number to my friend by mail?

Yes search the train by train number and you will get the link of Train below the train list and copy the link and send to your friend by mail.

Can I send link of all arrival and departure trains of a particular station?

Yes you can send link of all arrival and departure train of a particular station by clicking on Station code next to From and To box and at the bottom of all train you will have the link.

Can I calculate refund amount if I wish to Know how much will be deducted from my amount?

Yes click on Menu Tab and in Menu tab you have a link of calculate Refund, Click on that link and fill the detail as asked in the form and click on calculate and you will get full detail how much will be deducted from your ticket if you cancel before this times.

Can I view Major City local suburban Trains?

Yes Click on Menu Tab and we have a separate link of local (sub urban Trains) of Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai.

Can I view current Cancel and diverted train detail?

Yes you can. Click on Menu tab and then click on Cancel & diverted trains.

Can I view Rules and Regulation Of Indian Railways ,IRCTC, e-ticket, I-Ticket, Refund, Reservation and Tatkal etc?

Yes you can. Click on Menu tab and then click on FAQ-Indian Railways.

Can I view seat layout of all type of coaches?

Yes you can. Click on Menu tab and then click on seat maps.

Can I view full Fare Chart of Indian Railways by all type of trains?

Yes you can. Click on Menu tab and then click on Fare chart

Can I view suburban Fare chart of local suburban Trains?

Yes you Can. Click on Menu tab and then click on Fare chart- suburban

What is the benefit of Advance Filter link provided below the list of trains?

You can choose the advance filter for following purpose:

View the exact date trains only

View the exact class trains only

View the exact type of trains only

View the exact search station from the Originate trains only

View the exact searched station from the Group of stations trains only.

View the exact arrival date at destination station trains only

View the exact departure date at Originate station trains only.

Can I send Feedback and suggestion to eRail.in?
